The Rockford Fosgate Mobile SoundLab Cranks Up The Volume In The City Of Lights

13 years, 10 months ago Rockford Fosgate, Tempe, AZ., USA / TimePiece, Dallas, TX, USA

Rockford Fosgate, the industry leader in high-performance car audio, will turn up the excitement in Las Vegas with its latest Rockford Fosgate SoundLab, an audio demonstration vehicle based on a long–wheelbase Mercedes-Benz sprinter.  The Rockford Fosgate SoundLab will be displayed from Jan. 6-8, in the Palms Ballroom at the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort. The mobile SoundLab is a demonstration of the potential audio experience that consumers can add to their own vehicle using Rockford Fosgate’s line of superb car audio equipment.

“The Rockford Fosgate SoundLab is a powerful example of the highest level of sound quality at any volume,” said Bill Jackson, president of Rockford Corporation. “Our engineers poured their world-class expertise into this vehicle to help audio enthusiasts see how they can turn their vehicle into the performance hall of their dreams.”

The Rockford Fosgate SoundLab has two main compartments: a 10,000 watt audio carnival ride called the “Pressure Chamber” and the “SoundLab.” This is an interactive in-car demonstration that gives people the opportunity to experience Rockford Fosgate quality audio performance in their own vehicle.

A Rockford Fosgate engineer simply connects to a consumer’s vehicle using the SoundLab.  The engineer then modifies the audio system to the consumer’s preferences, adjusting for more bass, volume, etc., by electronically integrating amplification and loudspeakers into the vehicle.  The consumer works with the SoundLab engineer and Authorized Rockford Fosgate dealer to put together a system and installation plan tailored for his needs.

“The SoundLab empowers consumers to create a personalized sound system that is customized to their audio preferences,” added Bryatt Fischer, product planner for Rockford Fosgate.  “Just like taking a test drive to experience a car before buying, the Rockford Fosgate SoundLab is the ultimate way for consumers to create an audio system they can really enjoy.”

The second part of the SoundLab, the Pressure Chamber, is an opportunity for consumers to enjoy music reproduced with Rockford Fosgate audio clarity that is set to an LED light show.  The Pressure Chamber is comprised of three Power T1000-4 amplifiers, three Power T2500-1bd amplifiers, four Power T1652-S components, 12 Punch P3D215 15" subs, one 3Sixty.2 interactive processor and two IB-200 IBeam tactile transducers.

“The experience inside the Pressure Chamber will simply blow you away,” noted Mark Lowe, director of RTTI for Rockford Fosgate.  “It offers consumers the ultimate audio experience.  Imagine the most fantastic mobile audio system, and our SoundLab blows it away.”

Rockford Fosgate’s two SoundLabs are scheduled to start a coast-to-coast tour kicking off 2011 in Las Vegas.  For a schedule of visits, please visit www.rockfordfosgate.com.
