Rockford Fosgate Adds 2016 Punch Marine Coax Speakers To Renowned Line During 2016 Annual Product Showcase

Rockford Fosgate (www.rockfordfosgate.com), the industry leader in high-performance audio systems, is proud to announce that it will debut the 2016 Punch 6.5-inch element-ready coax speaker line during its annual Product Showcase, held at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (Artist Ballroom) in Las Vegas, Nev. from Jan. 6-8, 2016.Updating an already successful line and scheduled to ship in Q1 2016 with an MSRP of $299.99, the 85/170 Watt (RMS/Peak), 4-ohm PM2652 is available in both white and black with an additional luxury grille option for those who love the outdoors and want their systems to look as good as they sound.

The true marine grade compliant 6.5-inch PM2652 coaxial full range speaker features a one-inch aluminum dome tweeter designed for high output and is coated to protect it against the elements and UV radiation, preventing it from breaking down over time. The tweeter is bridge mounted over a mineral-filled polypropylene midrange cone giving the speaker a component quality sound and allowing for a full midrange driver.

“The cone is attached to the Centrex® Plastic injection molded frame by a Thermo-Plastic Elastomer (TPE) surround with salt, fog, and UV inhibitors, and moisture, tear, and fatigue resistant Aramid fiber spider assembly,” Braaten continued. “This is driven by our matched motor magnetic structure with integrated aluminum heat sinking shorting ring for maximum excursion and output. Additionally, the speaker features fully insulated flex lead wires, corrosion resistant gold-plated speaker terminals with integrated expansion connections for our PM2T-S tweeter kit and a fully sealed 12dB/Octave crossover and stainless steel hardware.”
